The Blessing of the Fleet is an event that evolved from the rich history of Potomac River watermen, the historical significance of St. Clement's Island, and the cultural uniqueness of St. Mary's County. Presented by the Optimist Club of the Seventh District, this two-day event features a myriad of activities, demonstrations, music, food, fireworks, special events and more designed to entertain and educate the whole family!

The Blessing of the Fleet offers a riverside venue at the St. Clement's IslandPotomac River Museum in Colton's Point, St. Mary’s County, Maryland. The museum rests on the shore of the Potomac River and overlooks historic St. Clements Island, birthplace of Maryland.
